26 High DA Blog Aggregators that Accept Blog Submissions (and How to Automatically Ping the Web)

Last Updated on May 13, 2017 by Kevine Otieno 4 Comments

Promoting content on the web is one of the hardest jobs for bloggers and content creators.

Luckily, this list has 26 high DA blog aggregators that accept blog submissions will help you gain some mileage.

If you have been in the blogging scene for some time, you will agree with me that content creation is the easy part.

You could produce the best content in your niche but if no one rads it, your labor is in vain.

What is content aggregation and why would someone need it?

Content aggregation involves collection of useful resources within a specific niche. The owners of such a page regularly scan the web for updated information and add the updates to the already existing database.

All the links have a visible URL that links to the full information on the content page.

Most of the aggregators do not have the search capability, so, people will not be able to search your blog.

However, they will be able to navigate to the appropriate category and find your blog. When they love your content, they will subscribe to your feeds for regular updates.

#Blog aggregators/directories will increase the visibility of your blog & increase #traffic to your page Click To Tweet

As a blogger/content creator, you need content aggregators to increase the visibility of your content across the web.

When you promote your content by using an aggregator, you put it in front of thousands of readers from across the globe.

That exposure is giving you a chance to push good content to the top since many people will love it.

The compounded effect will lead to more exposure and more targeted traffic to your page.

Furthermore, you will be able to get a back-link to your site, which will improve your domain authority (DA) and move your site up the search engines.

26 best #blogdirectories you should use to increase your web #traffic Click To Tweet

There are many blog aggregators on the web; some are free while others are paid.

The payment form can either be monetary or placing a back-link to the aggregator site on a prominent page of your site.

Most of these directories require you to create an account to list your blog.

Even though this is a passive form of marketing, its beauty lies in the fact that it only requires you to submit your blog once.

The high DA blog aggregators that accept blog submissions include:

1. Alltop – Editor’s Choice for the best blog aggregator on the web

Alltop is the best free blog aggregator according to this list. It only accepts to list blogs offering the best quality content on the web.

Being featured is extremely difficult, even for the established brands.

However, that should not be a deterrent factor since you have everything to gain by trying to be listed.

Browse through various topics that interest you. You can have a quick access to your topics by using the alphabetically arranged menu at the top of the page.

The submission form is not prominently displayed on the page; scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “submissions” button.

If your content is listed in the most popular stories then you will have an avalanche of traffic to your website.

2. BlogCatalog – Personalized directory of blogs on the web

Blog Catalog lists many categories under which you can submit your blog. You will need to register with the site and create your profile to submit your blog.

It is an influential directory that can give you a lot of traction when you create excellent content.

You will be able to create and maintain your followership on the platform.

Blog catalogs are structured in such a way that the search engines love to crawl them on a regular basis to find and index new content.

Listing here will increase the frequency with which the search engines will visit your webpage and index your urls.

This will increase your visibility on the web as more of your links get indexed.

Most importantly, these catalogs get lots of incoming links, so, they tend to give reciprocal outbound links (inbound links for you!) to keep the required balance between inbound and outbound links.

Listing your blog here may give you an avalanche of traffic if your content rises to the top.

However, that is not always the case. Even then, you have nothing to lose since you stand to gain links and traffic ultimately.

You can join their affiliate program and make money with your content. Listing is free for personal non-business blogs.

Business bloggers like wedding bloggers, SEO agencies, event planning bloggers, will have to part with up to $500 per year to list on Blog Catalog.

Automating the Pinging Process

Whenever you publish a post, it is important to let the search engines know about the update.

The search engine robots crawl sites at different intervals, which means that your new post may take sometime before it gets indexed by the search engines.

To speed up the indexing process, you need to have a pinging service to alert the search engine robots about the updates whenever you make them.

WordPress has made it easy to automate the process to ensure that you do not miss the crucial robot crawls.

There are many services you can use for this task. Some of them include:

Ping service providers
http://rpc.pingomatic.com, http://api.feedster.com/ping, http://api.moreover.com/ping, http://api.moreover.com/RPC2, http://bblog.com/ping.php, http://blo.gs/ping.php, http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2, http://bulkfeeds.net/rpc, http://geourl.org/ping, http://ipings.com, http://ping.blo.gs/, http://ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/, http://ping.feedburner.com, http://ping.syndic8.com/xmlrpc.php, http://ping.weblogalot.com/rpc.php, http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/, http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping, http://rpc.twingly.com, http://rpc.weblogs.com/RPC2, http://topicexchange.com/RPC2, http://www.blogdigger.com/RPC2, http://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates, http://www.blogshares.com/rpc.php, http://www.blogsnow.com/ping, http://www.blogstreet.com/xrbin/xmlrpc.cgi, http://www.feedsubmitter.com, http://www.newsisfree.com/xmlrpctest.php, http://www.pingerati.net, http://www.pingmyblog.com, http://www.weblogalot.com/ping, http://xping.pubsub.com/ping

Great resource for content publishers! I just hope people genuinely take the time to get to know communities like Reddit and Stumbleupon rather than just spamming links on those sites!

Spammers make life difficult. They reduce the quality of an otherwise excellent product. Gladly, Reddit makes it a little bit difficult for the casual spammer. Unfortunately, the bot also filters out loads of other good info from users new to the service. They give up and opt for a friendlier service
